Michael and Marilynn board a Viking cruise ship and tour the Baltic Sea in 2017

The first thing  that really catches your eye are the twin light beacons in the harbor between the two rivers.  They were built to guide ships toward each river's docking areas.  They are called: "The Rostral Columns".  The unquestioned highlight to the motorcoach tour was the "Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood".  Really tough to get into as the crowd had to enter through one half of the regular sized door at the side of the church.  If you can imagine racing to enter a subway door at rush hour, you have an idea of this entrance.  That being said, I have never in my life seen such magnificent tile artwork.  Enjoy.

Even from the outside, the Church of the Spilled Blood is dramatic. Once inside you get overwhelmed.
