Gdansk, Poland. The Germans called it Danzig. Town suffered greatly during and after WWII. Parts of the old harbor are still in restoration. It is also the home town of Copenicus, the astronomer, and Schopenhauer the philosopher. There is much charm here and the love of flowers was apparent.
