The second day we took the all day tour called the "Golden Circle". The first place we stopped was at a thermal field which included the Stokur geyser. It vents about every 4 to 8 minutes. Next we went to see the Great Rift Valley where the mid-Atlantic Ridge is splitting the land between East and West. Being able to see this area and realize your standing on plates of land that are moving apart from each other is quite an experience.
A visit to a geyser park and the Great Mid-Atlantic Rift Valley of Iceland. Gulfoss Waterfall is not to be missed.
