Michael and Marilynn board a Viking cruise ship and tour the Baltic Sea in 2017

At one time Bergen was a powerhouse port of call when the Hanseatic League controlled all trade and shipping in the Baltic and North Sea - From England to St Petersburg.  This history can be explored here:  Hanseatic League.  A beautiful town that is a current economic powerhouse.  The original warehouses of the League are all along the waterfront.  Terrific restaurants and utilities.  We met a young American who moved here and does financial counseling because the economy is so strong and the environment is so fantastically beautiful.
