Mediterranean Trip

We were headed to the medieval city of Montpelier, but the ship had to dock in the port city of Sete, which it turns out was beautiful.  We went on a tour to Augues-Morte Castle which was built by Louis IX as a staging area for the Crusades.   It  is a huge fortress with a kilometer long shield wall.  Today, there is a thriving little town inside the castle.

The website for the fortress and its history is:   <https://www.aigues-mortes-monument.fr/en/>
