Hallifax, Nova Scotia

We stopped first in Mahone Bay.  A sleepy, little town with a nice harbor.  It, too had a scarecrow festival going on. Here’s a link to Mahone:  <https://www.novascotia.com/places-to-go/regions/south-shore/mahone-bay>  From there we drove to Lunenberg.  Lunenburg is a port town on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. Founded in 1753, the town was one of the first British attempts to settle Protestants in Nova Scotia. The economy was traditionally based on the offshore fishery and today Lunenburg is the site of Canada's largest secondary fish-processing plant.  Good feel for the town can be found here:  <https://www.novascotia.com/see-do/attractions/old-town-lunenburg-unesco-world-heritage-site/2615>. In both places the colors of the buildings was truly charming.

Super neat; this church had a codfish as the top of the weather vane!

On the main street at each telephone pole were hung steel fish artist creations to celebrate fishing here.
