Charlottetown, Nova Scotia

Originally settled by the Acadian French but deported away (many to Louisiana to form the Cajun community along with other Acadian forced out of Nova Scotia).  The town is vibrant with a rich history along with persecution of the native Mi’kmaq inhabitants.  They have a wonderful website filled with information here:  <https://www.discovercharlottetown.com/about-charlottetown/history/>.  The town was fun to walk around and it was “Scarecrow” season with handmade figures all over the town.
