Michael and Marilynn tour

The Great Lakes:

From Duluth to Toronto

Mackinac Island lies just north of Michigan’s northern end and is listed as one of the prime vacationers spots in the upper midwest. The island is beautiful, with manicured lawns and sensational gardens and many restaurants and places to stay that are all quite pretty.  No cars are allowed on the island: only the police, fire, and ambulance services can use them.  You can have a leisurely ride in a carriage, or rent a bike to ride around the island, or walk.  It is one of the least diverse places i’ve visited, however.  Comes off as more a playground for the rich.  Here is the website singing Mackinac’s praises:  <https://www.mackinacisland.org>.

We had to tender to shore as no docking was available.
