Buenos Aires is just a terrific place to visit.  The city is very alive  and bristle with self importance.  If any city has a swagger, it would  be this one.  It is also simply huge and this country likes to eat meat.  Every restaurant specializes in one form or another of carnivore recipes.  Since most of their food comes from the Pampas it is pretty organic to begin with-really lean cuts and very tasty.  Nice intro to this city can be found here:  <https://www.lonelyplanet.com/argentina/buenos-aires>

Very busy, huge port.

In the 1980’s a military junta ran the country.  Many died and children were taken from their parents who were convicted of anti-gov’t crimes.  The headdress was worn by women who paraded around the square in protest.

The folowing images are from La Boca, the Italian village where Tango was first created by the immigrants.  The colors come from wherever they could find paint.

Marilynn took this of me as we waited for the bus.

The famous cemetery of Buenos Aires where the rich and the connected erected extravagant mausoleums.  The second from the left above is the resting place of Eva Peron.  She was penniless so they intered her in the mausoleum of the family that was her family’s landlord out in the country.  The man (Duarte by name) fathered Evita with her real mother and then disowned them from any inheritance of his estate.  It was Juan Peron’s second wife who cooked up the deal for her final resting place in the tomb of the one who rejected her.
