The Paris Opera House should always be done as part of the buildings tours.  Sign up early and arrive early as it is pretty crowded.  Can’t imagine what a zoo it must be during tourist season.  The building is simply amazing and really does have a lake underneath (not part of the tour).  Wikipedia does a really nice job on this remarkable place: <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palais_Garnier>.
