The final stop and a wonderful surprise to us was The Canyonlands National Park.  There are three separate parts of Canyonland:  Island in the Sky (drivable ~7000 foot plateau, The Needles, and The Maze which are for only experienced hikers since these two parts are really remote with no roads at all.  A really informative site for Canyon Lands:  <https://www.earthtrekkers.com/canyonlands- national-park/>.

View from Visitor Center.

There are other plants at this altitude that are resilient.

Mesa Arch

Panorama of Mesa Arch.

Schafer Road was graded in during the mining of uranium and it is just as scary as it looks. Notice one coming down in the second photo!!!!

Another panorama of the valley with the green river flowing through it.

Junipers continue to amaze me.
