Uquhart Castle on Loch Ness

Perhaps the most famous castle in Scotland due to the monster of Loch Ness media exposure.  It was a main Highland fortress of the MacDonald Clan and changed hands with the British many times.  A good and easy read of the history of this fortress is here:  <https://www.historicenvironment.scot/visit-a-place/places/urquhart-castle/history/>.

The Gait House Tower remains mostly intact for great views.
