Fort William

Originally settled by the English as a British fort to control the catholic Highlands, it is now a tourist attraction as it is next to the largest mountain in Britain, Ben Nevis.  Here is a short explanation of the fort:  <https://www.britannica.com/place/Fort-William-Scotland>. We didn’t stop in Fort William, but the harbor area was beautiful. The big thrill was stopping for gas in a store that had a Scottish Registry kiosk which served up my goal for the whole trip:  Finding where my family came from.  See below!
