Day Five and Six

Again, my favorite view.  It is not as dramatic inside-possibly as a result of firing the architect before it was finished.

The next morning we got up early and walked to the Royal Botanical Gardens again before we would have to check in to the Viking Orion for the cruise.  Turned out to be a good thing as we got photographs of the Kookaburra.

This is a seven shot vertical panorama of this incredible tree. I think it’s called a Scruby Gum

We do leave our mark when least wanted.

On the walk back to check in to the ship, we encountered The Gum Patrol which were policing the Quay from the Opera House to the dock!

DAY SIX:  Marilynn and I went on the included tour of Sydney. We stopped at Bondi Beach to watch surfers and finished the day on the Viking Orion.

Viking Orion

Now this is a good story.  This server is named Mariane.  We met her and her boyfriend Erjol on the Viking cruise in the Baltic Sea.  Erjol took amazing care of both Marilynn and our friend Nancy that we all became quite close. And here she shows up on Viking Orion.  Marilynn continued to have her dietary needs covered!

Underway.  That is the ANZAC Bridge in the distance.  Named after the WWI efforts of the Australian and New Zealand soldiers.
