We returned to our base at the Marriott San Jose Hacienda Belen and enjoyed a farewell dinner with Guillermo.  Marilynn and I will see several of our fellow travelers this fall.  Perhaps the best tour we have ever enjoyed-due exclusively to Guillermo Ayub’s knowledge and enthusiasm.  

I’ve included below some photos of the grounds of this remarkable facility.  It was the one place that Marilynn found parakeets and the beautiful Mot Mot bird.

Once we said goodbye to our fellow travelers, we booked a new tour to the La Paz Waterfall Park.  They maintain animals that would not be able to survive in the wild due to captivity or injury.  In addition, they have a spectacular butterfly and hummingbird garden.  The highlight for me was to get to the La Paz Waterfall which is drop dead magnificent in the jungle.Here is their official website:  <http://www.waterfallgardens.com/la_paz_waterfall_gardens.php>
