Buenos Aires is a  beautiful city.  It was our first time here and there are more photos on our Viking tour of South America (South America-2023).  Our main target here was to visit the tomb of Eva Peron and see the palace.  We also visited in the evening a Tango Club  where I managed to get a photo of two dancers that I love to this day.

Shopping street.

The Square of St Martin.

These really work and I could not find the Tardis.

Car free shopping area.

The Palace Guard.

The Pink Palace where the Argentine President works.

Eva Peron is buried in a large public cemetery in the tomb of her families

landlord-a man who rejected her.

The Plaque on her grave.

I had to lean out of my chair almost to the floor to get a clear shot of these dancers.

The most interesting place to visit in Buenos Aires is the immigrant created housing and streets called La  Boca.  In the late 1500’s Spanish and Italian immigrants came in large numbers to work in the city’s beef exporting trade.  Read of the history here:  <https://secretsofbuenosaires.com/la-boca-buenos-aires-visit-guide/>.  It’s only really two main streets, but is really fascinating.

Living Statues are all over.  If you photograph one, you must tip them!

The Harbor at La Boca.

Side street in La Boca.  Artists are everywhere.

Apartments.

Hanging out the wash.

Main square in La Boca.

Quonnie and a living statue at the obelisk to San Martin, the liberator of Argentina.

Singers and dancers will perform  to Tango tunes in this square-be sure to leave an appreciation if you watch.
