Once we finished viewing Gaillard we drove down the very steep hill to Le Petit Andelys where we ate lunch on the banks of the Seine at a terrific restaurant named La Chaine d’Or.  We were on the King Richard terrace and watched river traffic go by.  The town is totally charming and the restaurant/hotel website is here:  <https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g680052-d1889859-Reviews-La_chaine_d_or-Les_Andelys_Eure_Haute_Normandie_Normandy.html>.Our experience in the restaurant was wonderful.  The chef came out and made sure Marilynn’s diet was accommodated.  I say this because one review was that they offered no service at all.  I can only imagine what kind of person that was!
